6 Things You Would Never Guess Are Less Than 180 Calories

Over the years of writing a calorie-focused blog in my spare time and analyzing the nutritional value of foods and recipes for my day job, I've become pretty good at estimating the number of calories in anything. This skill became even more apparent when I was quizzing my hubster on the number of calories in things.

Food: Banquet Chicken Pot Pie
Chris' Calorie Estimate: 700 calories
He over-esimated by: 330

Food: 1/2 cup of sugar
Chris' Calorie Estimate: 100 calories
He under-esimated by: 287

Food: Snickers Bar
Chris' Calorie Estimate: 500 calories
He over-esimated by: 220

I had a good laugh, at Mr. Shafer's expense, but it also made me realize that a lot of people have no idea how many calories are crossing their lips.

Here are 6 foods that you may be surprised to learn are less than 180 calories.

1. m&m's Pretzel 1.14 oz bag contains 150 calories.

2. Egg Drop Soup 2 cups contains 120 calories.

3. Burger King Onion Rings from the value menu contains 150 calories.

4. Breyer's Triple Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Bar 2.5 oz. bar contains 130 calories.

5. Sushi Tuna Roll (Tekka-Maki or Maguro) 6 pieces contains 175 calories.

6. New Belgium Fat Tire Beer 12 ounce glass contains 160 calories.
